NYFW: DKNY spring summer 2015

DKNY took us back to the early Nineties with urban hair design destined to bring heat to the street this summer.

NYFW: DKNY spring summer 2015

We all know fashion is in a constant process of reinvention. Every trend we’ve seen emerge across New York, London, Milan and Paris runways over the past few weeks is a reincarnation of moments passed, and one of our favourites had to be this interpretation of the early 1990’s – down town New York vibes.

Our friends at Wella Professionals stepped up to DKNY’s task of manifesting a modern hybrid of the Eighties and Nineties with hair design that borrowed from iconic urban youth culture – think zig zag parting, braids and the humble pony tail – uh-huh, thas’ right.

“I wanted to create a look that celebrated radical diversity and had a slightly ‘old school’ feel to it … something strong that had a definite point of view,” said Wella Professionals Creative Director, Eugene Souleiman.

Its sophisticated street-style and a look that a member of our team can subtly incorporate into your next Anaka style-service – the ultimate Saturday night accessory!
