At Anaka, we believe in ‘putting our money where our mouth is,’ and recently took to one of Australia’s most coveted hair and beauty competition platforms to test our skill and vision against the industry at large.

The Headmasters Championships and Awards platform is a favourite among Australia’s next generation of hairdressers, paving the way for many of our country’s most successful stylists. The competition is fierce and participants aplenty, and for this reason, we’re thrilled to announce the below Anaka award winners!

Anaka apprentice, Stevie took out 1^st place in the Headmasters VOGUE-inspired Photographic competition with his classic yet contemporary double-shot – ready for a high-society masquerade party, the hair is effortless yet cool, textured with refined detail, and delivered on the brief of creating a total look that is wearable with edge.

Anaka Senior Stylist Portia was awarded 1^st place in the Men’s Pre-Done category and 3^rd place in the Headmasters Men’s Photographic competition – an incredible accomplishment across two of the most popular award categories on the day. Portia pushed her creativity and technical skill to develop a trend-driven men’s look showcasing the popular pastel movement set to define hair colour in summer 2014.

Portia also took home the sort after title of Headmasters Academy Apprentice of the Year, leaving little doubt this talent is set to make it big time in the local and international hairdressing industry.
